andrew holland yet another beautiful aural adventure from Brock! this album really is a journey, from beautiful floating ambience to truly hyperactive beats I love every minute! thanks yet again B! Favorite track: Fade to Fall.

Jacob Childress Haunting melodies breaking through notes of decay. Impressions of vocals, layered like fine quilts, with a sense of longing. Hints of chaos that soar into fluxing melodic patters, folding in on themselves in effervescent waves. Jungian haze merges into Jungle breaks, like sirens of some forgotten underworld. Harmonies caught in a sonic panopticon, held by gleaming fragments of shattered keys. A church organ struck by lightning mid-chord. Could this album affect the weather?

______________

Memories fade. But to fade is not to disappear. It is to live a thousand more lives, each different from the next. And it is in their ebb and flow that eternity resides. Memories of a life when we shouted our feelings from the rooftops without words. Memories of days we never let each other fall. Never let each other know the meaning of a broken heart.

This is the distant soundtrack to a life of love past. Love faded. Sounds seeping in from the next room. From the window down the street. Muted reminders that life, and love, was all around us. That it still is. That memories can help as much as they hurt. Memories of who we were. Are. And will be.

Because to fade means to have existed...

“If he comes out, he'll dissolve into pieces, like a deep-sea fish pulled to the surface too quickly. I suppose my job is to go on holding him here at the bottom of the sea.”
