Jorge Albella Pérez This album is so deeply powerfull. One of the most beautiful I found in last decade (toguether with Mono No Aware by Donacha Costello). Thanks so much Bvdub, it helps us in our life to make it better, and also it helps me with my work. Favorite track: 05 a sisyphean silence.

8BALL9-SOUNDSCAPE PRODUCER love this artist and his music. Favorite track: 02 my only friend.

Falling_always The strings that gradually build through the song "A Sisyphean Silence" are quite astounding. Feels like something fitting to the dramatic climax of a major film. Heartache, realization of loss, overwhelming emotions. They fade out to the washing waves of "One Last Look at the Sea." This is one of my favorite albums Favorite track: 05 a sisyphean silence.

Brian James Look, if you are new to bvdub then where have you been? For the last 10 years he has put out an enviable body of work that, for all it's sheer volume, doesn't diminish in quality; if anything it keeps getting better. And better.
"One Last Look at the Sea" is on the cusp of his lighter ambient phase from last decade; the title track is bookended by waves lapping on the shore, echoed by the seemingly endless gentle wash of melancholy that follows.
At once simple beauty and infinite complexity. Favorite track: 06 one last look at the sea.

While ransacking my mom's house, I found a (very) few copies of some super rare CD's (and tapes), many of which I know are fodder for Discogs gougers and music-abuse opportunists.

So what I'm doing is this...

The couple/few copies I have of each, I am selling for what is pretty much more or less what they are topping out at on Discogs. Am I also trying to gouge? No. I am just trying to ensure they don't just get bought by yet another opportunist, and instead go to the right home. By selling for around the same price, I can be sure they will not go to yet another abuser.
Each release will be $74. Yes, that is not cheap. But it's pretty much about (and in some cases less than) what each of them are going for.

The difference? I will donate $24 of each sale to one of four charities of your choice:

    1. Paws & Stripes (pawsandstripes.org)
    2. Blind Cat Rescue (blindcatrescue.org) (super "me" charity haha)
    3. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (afsp.org)
    4. Dave Thomas Adoption Foundation (davethomasfoundation.org)

    *OR*

If you pay over the $74 by any amount, I will donate the $24, + 50% of the extra to any charity you choose, if you don't like helping veterans, blind cats, at-risk people, or kids who need adopting ;) you tell me. Or you can choose one of the original four. As long as it goes to somewhere, something, or someone in need, I'm happy.

*P.S. No matter what, I will be donating $200 to the Blind Cat Rescue from my own pocket. I know, huge surprise, right? haha... to slightly counter my predictability, I will also be donating $100 to Paws & Stripes, again, regardless of sales. I already give every year to the AFSP and Dave Thomas Foundation (I know suicide problems all too well, and the Dave Thomas Foundation was integral in helping me myself be adopted, for which I will always be grateful) - so no, I'm not only a cat nut ;)

Yes it's all a bit complicated and maybe a bit weird, but we can battle the opportunist pillagers, much more importantly help those in need, and have CD's in the right people's hands, all in one fell swoop :)

This is what was unearthed (or what's left):
White Clouds Drift On and On (1 copy)
The Art of Dying Alone (2 copies)
    To Live (3 copies)
    The First Day (3 copies)
One Last Look at the Sea (cassette, 1 copy)

Shipping price not included. I will try to calculate the shipping price as close as possible, and send accordingly. I'm not trying to make anything off shipping.

Also, I am happy to sign or personalize any CD in any way you like - but please keep in mind that will require unwrapping some of them that originally come wrapped.

about

an album with a very storied past, originally set for release on two different labels, both of which went under, and three mastering engineers, all of whom were rejected because they mangled my original intent, before being released as a charity cassette, 100% of which went to help impoverished kids buy school supplies.

personally i feel this was a really seminal work for me, that showed the shift and growth into what would become my trademark sound.

there was a free digital version originally, but strangely enough it is still difficult to find. i have had many requests to make this available again, so here you go.

*raw and unmastered original tracks, from my personal archives.
